IngramSpark Low Resolution Images

View problemLow-resolution image and raster quality warnings.
The image-resolution cluster covers failures where raster assets do not meet print expectations. These issues are not just about nominal DPI values. They are about effective resolution after scaling, export compression, and final page placement.
A file may contain images marked 300 DPI and still fail if those same assets are enlarged in layout or rebuilt from low-quality web sources.
The usual causes are aggressive scaling in layout, web-derived artwork, export downsampling, and cover files built from reused graphics that were never intended for physical print size. Resolution problems often travel with color-profile and PDF export issues.
Because image degradation can happen at several stages, the root cause is frequently upstream of the final PDF.
Identify the affected image, measure effective resolution at placed size, and verify whether export settings are reducing quality further. Cover and interior images should be checked separately because scaling behavior is different.
Only after confirming the asset quality should you continue to page-level validation or upload retries.
Use this index to move from category-level diagnosis into specific platform error pages and fix workflows.
